Every dog deserves just the right home.
Remember Ivory? She has waited under the loving care of Renee Robins at the Owen Sound Animal Shelter for just the right home, and finally she has found it!
I met this girl a couple of times. Right off the bat, I knew she was a great dog. You’d never know she was blind and deaf by the way she acted; confident, intelligent, loving and trusting. Ivory and I had a couple of really good walks and really good talks before she went to her forever home.
I must congratulate OSAS for having the patience to find her a home that was perfect. It’s clear that they’re interested in more than just sending animals out the door. Ivory has found her second chance, but there are always other dogs and cats who need that special home.

My wife and I have 2 cats that we took from shelter/rescue places, and if we didn’t already have another cat as well as 2 puppies we’d rescue more!

I will never forget her and she will always hold a special place in my heart.
I am glad we found her the right forever, that is what makes my job worthwhile.
